HI Joann,

Welcome! I remember the story well and used to listen to WJJL quite a bit. Sounds like a good story for the all mighty Niagara Reporter. I wish you success, and welcome back to the real world! Keep us abreast of what is going on. Just don't make the mistake of getting the same old "cronies" back on the station that were there before they moved. I hope you make the programming new and refreshing, and not the same-o same-o stuff.

I remember the "good ole' days" of listening to the Clipper at 9 AM and then quick turning it to WJJL to catch the 10AM talk show there. It was always great to be able to know what was going on at both end of the county. There used to be a great following of dial flippers!

I'm happy for your familys new takeover, but why so up set, we are sorry about the sickness that you had to deal with, but your sounding like with two radio station in niagara county, theres major competition or even war. would of looked forward into working together to make both stations better ones, and the listeners happyer. maybe you can't play friendly. maybe a chill pill is in order.

Maybe it will be a more liberal basis and we can get scott on a station where he won't be a minority. Then Al and Grumpy Lady can listen to all the radio they want and NEVER have to "hear his show by accident."

Leffler is a fence sitter on many 'liberal' issues, he's more conservative than you think. I like to think of him as fair-minded, because he doesn't just automatically oppose or support things because of who's behind them. He has this really moronic thing he likes to do, it's called thinking...

I wouldn't mind a liberal radio station, considering 60-80% of WLVL's programming has a definate right slant to it all. And any good conervative will tell you competition is good for the economy.

2. opposed to anti-smoking regulation

3. in favor of a "flat tax"

4. pro - 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms

Hey, anonymous Radiorat-Rant--let me see if I got this right.

I have also noticed that you are avowed to the same principles that Jim Hufnagel stated. It is good to know another person who received the first 5-6 years of his formal public education at Military Rd. school in the Town of Niagara that believes in the same principles that I do, and is on the Democrat Committee.

There is nothing wrong with being avowed to those principles and being a Democrat. If you look at the Niagara Dems website at www.niagaradems.org you will note at the bottom of the home page is a scrolling message of the Top 10 reasons to be a Democrat by a former State Chairman. One of the principles that I feel is important is that the "Democrat party is the party of inclusion, not exclusion."

ok....I followed the link....and this is what I found. Do one of you ANONYMOUS people want to explain what it means? Let's get an answer, yes or no...just so we don't have to read all the rotten language.

Does it mean MJ PHILLIPS is running the radio station into the ground, or in other words losing it? Or does it mean he has to give it back? Novices like myself don't understand all this legal jumbo....ANYONE got an answer??
