Shop Local in Anson County...If you are driving down Hwy 74 in Lilesville and see a huge chicken in the distance, you just may want to take a detour an stop at THE OLD STORE. They have some really great food, and are open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Monday-Saturday they are open from 5:30am to 10pm & on Sun...day they are open from 7am to 10pm. They are located on Vintage Rd.

New Retail Store Opens TODAY in Uptown Wadesboro...The Silver Lining opened its doors to the public today at 10am! It is located on South Greene Street, two doors down from HW Little Hardware. A thank you to all small business owners / operators...I'm trying to personally be more aware of where I shop...if the small business are not supported, they close. When they close, we have to drive outside this county. What should be a ten minute trip turns into an hour or more round trip...

Which means that price is not my only driving factor I consider...I think about my time and of course the cost of gasoline and wear and tear on my car...and I'm really thankful for the small business owners who come here, stay here, and provide the services and goods for the people of our county.
