Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Don't know where I'm goin' but I'm on my way...

Greetings RV-Dreamers,

Just wanted to introduce myself and say that this looks like a fabulous site. I'm Deborah aka Deb. Paul is my better half, imported from Europe. 1/2 Brit, 1/2 Dutch. Actually, we met in Paris of all the romantic places, but that's a story for another day. Perhaps around a campfire one night...

We've been traveling about 5 months a year for the last 4 years.  First year was in my little Hyundai with a tent squeezed in the back along with the barest essentials & poor little Rocky boy on my lap.  See, Paul's idea of a "camping" trip was placing a 50# sack on his back and schlepping up a mountain for as long as 2 weeks.  So it was left to me to do the dirty work and gently remind him that he's not in his twenties anymore. biggrin He seemed to adjust to the indignity of keeping his backpack in the trunk just fine.  So my next goal was obviously to get us up off the ground, and maybe even a little climate control.

Fast forward to present - we bought a 20' trailer last month and have now been on the road for exactly one month for a "trial fulltiming" experience.  We plan to spend at least a year just knocking around, following the good weather & exploring new places.  We're in Montana at the moment having just left Glacier, & will eventually work our way west.  Probably the Cascades in Washington will be next, followed by a meander down the west coast.

I enjoy hiking, reading, observing wildlife, and spoiling my apricot poodle.  Paul loves mountain biking and is currently enthused about his new HDR camera.  He's taken some pretty cool pictures which you can check out here if you are curious:  www.sceniccaptures.com  He also has a website dedicated to mountain biking, which is http://mountainbiketrailsusa.com/

Well, thanks for listening and I look forward to getting to know you and becoming part of your community.

Welcome to the RV-Dreamers forum! You'll find a lot of great people on here, some that have been full-timing for years, and some that are still in the researching phase.

Your pictures are beautiful! Hopefully we will all meet on the road.

biggrinWelcome to the forums Deb and Paul! I haven't been on these forums for to long, but have been rving since 1974 off an on. I use to transport Rvs. Then bought a tag-a-long in 1980. Left New York state from the Canada border and traveled for 2 months arriving near the Phoenix, Az., area where I settled down with my wife and two daughters until 1988. Then, life took some turns and  am living solo since 1994 to present in a Class C motor home. biggrin IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE!!! PIEERE!!!

Thanks guys,

Laurly, I'm glad you liked the photos.  It seems like he has made some of them look almost 3-D. I may get him to add a grouping of my own photos but we'll have to call that file "Deb's amateur corner"!  I love your blogspot.  St Joseph??  Hey, it can never hurt.  With today's soft market, I'd try anything too.

So Pieere, do you stay in Arizona all summer or head north?  We'lll be heading down that way this winter.  Have heard Yuma is nice.  What areas do you like?

Well I've got my reading cut out for me here so I'd better go read some posts and learn some stuff!

Cheers, Deb

Hi Deb and Paul! This is my first post on the website after just finding it last night and I must tell you, after I looked at your pictures this morning, I wept. The full realization of the deep longing in my soul to get out and experience His handiwork in the abundant and glorious beauty of nature, hit me like a ton of bricks in viewing your amazing photography! Thank you so much for sharing it!!
RV'ing just might be the path my hubby and I are meant to take in the near future. We'll see where the next few months take us and just maybe, we'll meet up somewhere in this beautiful nation!

Best to both of you and your cute dog, Rocky, in your travels!

Hi Cindy & Scott.

[ Paul here ] Thank you so much for the kind words, I am glad you liked my photo's. It's very inspiring when someone comments on them, and it actually made me add some more.
Both Debs and myself wish you all the luck for the coming months, and hopefully our paths will meet somewhere on the road.

D & P
