Refreshing the page problem

Hi, when i press F5 or the refresh button it takes me back to the web page of TRJO rather than the first page of the forum, can this be changed please? (oh, my first sensible post!)

Hope you don't mind me intruding here, had this happen as well. But if you click on the link underneath the 'main page; list all users' etc line, that says 'Tom Richards Jazz Orchestra Forum' the board index will be refreshed as well, so might be something to use that for now

I tried several times but it's working fine for me.

Still experiencing problems with it, Phoenix?

I had it just a few minutes ago. The page wouldn't load completely so I pressed refresh and it got me back to the trjo homepage.

Not certain on this but is admin by any chance using a Mac?

I think this might be something that IE does, it takes the url in the browser and refreshes that one, ie trjo.co.uk, and not the actual page you are on. Not certain but I believe that the Apple programs do actually recognise the actual page which is why the Maccies aren't experiencing the problem.

I was hoping that it was only a temporary problem. I checked the settings but couldn't really solve the problem as it seems.
Those of you experiencing that problem, please tell which explorers you are using.
I'm using safari on my mac.

Mac doesn't have the F5 function, but normal refresh (as in clicking on the Refresh page button in my browser) in Safari and Firefox is working just fine for me.

Just a question: do you access the forum through the TRJO website or the direct link? I noticed that if you access the forum through the link on the site, the url remains www.trjo.co.uk. Maybe this is causing the problem with F5. I tried it just now and with normal refresh it's fine, but then again, Macs don't have the F5 function.
The direct link to the forum is: http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?forumID=102660

Femke is right.

If you access the forum through the TRJO website and you refresh it you'll get back to the website.

To avoid that save the forum link http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?forumID=102660 and use it directly. Refreshing shouldn't be a problem then.

hope this helps!

Thanks, Femke for nailing the problem and ET for further help. I figured out exactly the same reason. I'll get Tom to change it on his website.
