FOR SALE: 1960 Peerless GT in California

Story of my life: I called today and the car has already been sold to a guy in Arizona that bought it site unseen. It was only up for sale for less than two days. The seller didn't seem all that familiar with Peerless's. Apparently, this was car #283. It sounded like a deal, although a bit pricey at $14,000. I have another photo of it that was posted on Craigslist, but I don't have means to post it on the forum.

can anyone confirm the chassis no as 283?

I'm the guy in Arizona that bought the car. I've been looking for a TR3 and a friend of mine spotted the car. He has kindly allowed me to be the new caretaker. We both knew what the car was but not much detail. Thanks to this site we know much more now. I figure any car with these lines and low production numbers is a steal at $14,000! I Love this car! I would sure appreciate any more info on the car and would especially like to find a copy (or original) of the owners manual. The car is in pretty nice shape and is very fun to drive. It handles surprisingly well.
