Event: "XinYao 2005 Songwriting Seminar"

Venue: Hard Rock Cafe, Singapore

Date: 30 April 05 (Saturday)

Time: 2pm

Host: Chong Qing

Guest Speaker: David Tao(Taiwan)/Tanya Chua (Singapore)/Fang Wen Shan (Taiwan)/Xu Huan Liang (Singapore)

DT was the 1st to be interview as he had to leave soonest for the next event!

DT/Tanya Chua & Fang Wen Shan listening!

DT trying to answer as much queries as he could while his PA hurry them up at the side

DT gonna go now!

Well, above are just some pictures taken during the Seminar as my digital camera's flash died on me the moment DT came in (guess he's too powerful for my camera hahaha!!

DT stayed for merely 25minutes as he had to rush off for another event.  It was a casual, closed-up seminar where the guest speaker share their thoughts about song-writings as they answered all the questions query by the audience.  DT stayed for as long as he could & answered all the queries about song-writings with passion & with no hasty move (Thank you).

Some sidetracking: Tanya Chua's unplugged performance was fabulous while Fang Wen Shan shared a demo track by Jay Chou with us about build-up skeleton when pening for a new song.  And Xu Huan Liang showed us on how songs were being chosen by a record company & the procedure to create an image for the singer's album.

Hope this ain't too much for you folks, just thought of sharing.

Sherry

I am so grateful for your exclusive Sherry & wonderful pixs, so gracious of you to take the effort to make a post & share. May I ask if the seminar was conducted in english or chinese?

About DT's presence at Hard Rock cafe
Permalink

Hi folks, I'm really glad that you people enjoy my post.  ~Good things are meant to be share, isn't it~

nlayhua: I was sitting on the dance floor area, 4th row from the front hence rather near to DT Not too sure about his orange shirt, though but its suits him really well.  (As for the 2nd pic, all the guest speakers were trying to look up at the OHT screen right above them as audience were being shown on some lyrics on screen.)

zhaodi: The seminar was being conducted in Mandarin whereby they strongly encourage locals to submit their workpiece to Compass for the XinYao 2005 competition.  Hope to see some of you enrolling for the competition (I might...if I manage to get someone to finish up the music hiaks).  Hey if it wasn't the set up of this Forum, I wouldn't be able to post it up at all...so Thank you!

GuRl_JuLiE: Yup, I had a good time as I really enjoy the songwriting session, which of course with the presence of DT was a bonus to me.

Was anyone else from here presence at the songwritting session too?

Hi phiii:  Yup, I've read your post & wow very detailed about DT's movement & topic during the seminiar .  (Apologies as mine was more of a general posting) So hardcore DT fans, do check out phiii's post at http://www.davidtao.com/_forum/viewtopic.php?t=5000  (bloodbubble: you should check it out)

Take care now, everyone.

hi sherry and zhaodi...

thanks for your comments. I thought i should go into details for those folks whom weren't there for this event....

zhaodi, you are right in your blog today. David's vocals and music are powerful enough and do not require a fancy costume or dancers to make up for his power-packed gigs...

his presence, his voice, music and lyrics are enough to stage a great concert... like his showcase at the expo, I personally still can't get over it...

Lets look forward to his upcoming concert then... coz we know that he has prepared well and enough for this one... also looking forward to his MV dvd...

cheerios..
