Mega Defraga...

The last few times I've analyzed the need to defrag, the message said that "this volume does not need defrag", but tonight, like last time, OMG its like I have more space to defrag than free space available!?!?
Does anyone know why that suddenly happens????confused

that can't be good.ashamed

Does it still say no need to defrag

No....I was prompted that it should be defraged. I am using the aol computer check-up tho, instead of opening the defragger myself- I run a computer check-up test, and it said this was the only issue...so I says "ok, I suppose its about time..." MAN O MAN this thing is gonna run for like a day to clean it all up!!!confused

I run defrag at least once a month, even though it says I don't need to....It ckeans ups things and on some programs I do noitice a faster speed. Good luck. It can't hurt!

Sparky when I go to Start and Run and type in defrag I can't get it to work, but if I go to the start menu, then programs, then accessories, then system tools, then disk defrag it works!

See if there are anythings you can delete.  Then  run disk cleanup, then see if there is room for the defrag then.....
