I sometimes find it hard to believe that it's warm somewhere in the world. I'm a wuss. We've had a "warm" winter so far. This is our first snap in temps. I just keep on thinking about the fact that we've got another month and a half of this. Then, at least two months of bla stuff. Then, finally the sun!
I run on the treadmill because the ice/wind are a hazard. Of course when I was in my thirties, I'd be outside running in the subzero stuff. One of my favorite things was running during a snowstorm. I still do that sometimes but, now I wear glasses and they get all fogged up or wet.

Squonk: I totally hear you there. When I was fit in my mid 30's I ran 365 days a week. If it was over 90 degrees that didn't stop me, I'd run through people's yard sprinklers.... no kidding. If it was below freezing, I'd just layer my clothes, and run around the frozen puddles, or do it down on a cleared track..... what discipline I had back then.
Now I'm 40, I'm lucky if I can get out for a walk on a near perfect weather day.
I am definitely battling with insomnia again. I even took sleeping pills and had trouble. But both me and my hubby are at work today. He is better but is now dealing with some new symptoms so we will see how today goes. I hope it passes, he has a haircut scheduled for today. I have payroll all done so I have no pressure! YAY!

We forgot that there was a 10:00am start for school. Some teacher meeting or something. I got the boy up and we were eating breakfast when my wife remembered the late start. I gave the boy the option of going back to sleep for an hour or watching cartoons. Within four minutes after breakfast, he was asleep again.
Its still cold, but 19° warmer than yesterday at this time.
