Transam Associates is this a scam?

I got an email today from Transam Associates with a request for me to apply to become a medical transcriptionist....

What seems a little funny, is that they say there is no experience required.

Thanks for any input on this.....

Victoria

I got same email and when I responded they wanted me to take there courses which consisted of paying for books, when I email and told them I was already in a Med Trans. course, I got nothing back. Don't waste time even emailing them. They want to sell you the idea including books.

I looked into them as well.  They are a real business however, if they really provide work as a transcriptionist is another story.  They rating with the BBB is terrible because the number of complaints they have recieved and I read where someone actually paid the 260.00 deposit but was unable to get the software or training that they paid for.  If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.  I was completely on board until I got that email about paying for the training that's when I started to research them and learn all of this...

Yes, don't waste your time. They say no experience so that you can buy the books that are needed to do the Med. Transcription course and the books cost like 400.00 or 500.00. If you want to learn Med. Transcription do what I am and take the course from Allied Medical School. They will teach you Medical term. and then transcription and you can even get a student loan for it. It is not hard at all.

Trans Am Assoc. make their money by having you take their courses and then by putting you in a training program, you do endless reports (for no pay mind you), and they keep you there. I know, when I first started as an MT, that's what happened to me. Worthless, and the only thing you learn is how not to be taken advantage of. Don't waste your time!!
