Now let's have a list of auction sites where there are actually buyers present and not just sellers :

 Ebay. ermm..........

Ebay...

That's it.

Our respective websites.   You will have to do your own research on that.   OK it's not auction sites, but the trend is going away from those anyway.

Now lets have a list of auction sites that are set up for the buyers to get their purchases for free, because of an inept fraudulent "money transfer service", provided for, and set up by, the auction site.

Ebay. ermm.....

Ebay

Yes, ebay (AKA sleazebay) is still the number 1 spot for stolen goods, pure garbage which belongs in the dumpster, and golden spray painted poop of all sorts.

Out of curiousity I looked at a few starting bottom to top:

lowbid
Bows-End.com
www.hibidder.com
Tazbar
Wow-EZ.com
Sports Only Auctions
Oztion
Opal Auctions

On each one I opened an auciton to see their layout, and I couldn't help but notice that each one of the items I checked on each of those auciton sites accepted PayPal.  Don't that beat all.

I wonder which one of those, "alternatives," is used by XPPMAN.

I love this site!

Off hand does any one know if any of these sites require sellers to offer  Paypal?  Besides Sleazebay for new sellers of course.

I would want to cross them off of my list without taking the time to look at them if they do.  I don't care if they are an option but requiring their use is something else.

I doubt any of them require PP. About the only way is to go to them and see.
While you are there, have a look around. You will find some of these sites can be a buyers heaven.

You're in luck, you still don't have to accept PayPal on eBay.

we'll be requiring all newly registered sellers to accept PayPal or a merchant credit card.

...but you do have to accept credit cards. Credit card acceptance is required on more than just eBay. I guess you have to rule out Overstocked or UBid also, you are required to accept credit cards there. How about Amazon? Nope you are required to accept credit cards through their system.

Still don't want to accept credit cards? If you want lots of computer shopppers willing to send you money orders and checks you need to go to 1998 cause the day of paper payments via snail mail is past.

Some people on E-bay prefer checks or money orders.  I wonder what would cause e-bay to force PP down their customers throats.!   hmm.      I mean what would they have to gain??

Accepting credit cards through Paypal is something that I will refuse to do even if it means not selling on ebay. This of course also means I will no longer buy on ebay.

Bidpay however is acceptable to me.

Funny how it does not appear to be acceptance of a credit card that is a problem but rather whom I would accept one through that is.

When a companies reputation suffers through total and willfull fault of their own like Paypal's has is it any wonder that many do not want to use them?

After all ebay can lead a seller to use Paypal but they can't make the smart sellers drink the kool-aid!

I'm amazed at their lack of concern about their customers getting ripped off right and left.  They do nothing.   When they have lost enough people to "dent"  their  business, Now, they do something.  And in typical Meg fashion, they do the WRONG thing.

There is a petition being signed, asking Sleazebay to accept Google checkout.  Say Yes Meg, you moron.  Goog would be beneficial to your customers!   OOPS I shouldn't have said THAT.   Meg, accept GOOGLE CHECKOUT.  It will help your bottom line!

See the results of the J.P. Morgan survey on Google Checkout?

Google's Checkout ranked well below rival online payment service PayPal in customer satisfaction in a survey of online shoppers conducted by J.P. Morgan.

Companies are more interested in what people do instead of what they say.  XPPMAN says eBay is bad, but he continues to list there.  Remember the old saying, "actions speak louder than words."  A boycott is effective, a petition is pointless waste of time.

Now that I think about it calling for a petition would be a good CAPP strategy.

You dumbass.

CAPP didn't initiate the petition.  The power sellers did.  They must know something you don't.  Then again the residents in my aquarium know more than you do too.

Did it really impress you that someone started a petition?  Did you lean back from your monitor and say, "WOW!"  Is this the level of your knowledge of the online business world?

Power sellers are tired of ebay's crap too even though they do get treated differently than just little joe schmo seller.

If they are complaining then it has to be bad.

Not everyone is complaining this time. Many are just quietly moving on.

Ebay has had 3 special offer listing days since 2007 began. That shows something.

Those that move on do send a message that's listened to by any company. On the other hand I know of one individual that has made 595 posts here moaning, crying, preaching, and ranting at the evil that is eBay/PayPal yet he still lists on eBay and accepts PayPal. I'm sure he'd sign that petition.

Go figure.

What is occurring here is the continued stalking and harrassment of a long time ebay community member, (Member since: Jun-28-99) with 100% feedback, TWO NUETRAL feedback comments, and ZERO removed.

And all this for what?

Because he speaks out against the almighty paypal?

Or is this some strictly personal obsession of yours, bored person?

Either way, you have yourself a problem.

Xppman, WTG!!! Stick it to the man! No one blames anyone who uses ebaY as a signpost to their own site. And it has been proven time and again that your methods are within ebaY's guidlines, despite all the many times they have been reported over the years

Do us all a favor bored person, just start yourself a new thread to keep flaming and harrassing xpman, be cause we all see it will not end.

(or just go back to your commie koolaid boards)

Strange for you of all people to question me on personal obsession.

I thought it would be educational to give an example of how sellers continue to eBay/PayPal in spite of their numerous protests.

My mention of this seems to upset some. Tough.

You know those frauds are just pissed because I still can list there.  LOL I still have a biz PP account too.  LOL Maybe our board resident here was laid off or something, or maybe this person is real close to the lady who got fired from a job for posting the joys of PP on the clock?   Yea that's it. They simply hate me and are obsessed simply because they made poor choices and I beat them down all the time with facts. Or I should say used to. (Or maybe the just think I'm sexy)   Really no since in fighting with them any longer. PP and eBay are in the toilet, but it's nice to be able to list on eBay and take a PP payment any time I want.   They fear me. What can I say?   Thanks guys for sticking up for me.

bored, you little dummy. Use this as an example k?

I love this country. I hate the way our government is screwing up this country. I can move to Europe, or I can stay here and do what I can to stop the damage being done to something I love.
We all loved e-bay before they turned in to a greedy, money grabbing, extorting, thieving, cesspool of crooks.
We'd like to see that stop.

I think I figured out what the obsession is. They hate me for being such an active consumer advocate and spreading the word. (And busting thier sorry asp at every turn doing so) I told you dummy LieWorld types before. My work is done there , but it wasn't a hard job. You people actually "helped" and did / do more harm for the company than you can imagine. Besides, anyone with even a half a brain could see this train wreck coming a long time ago. Sure glad I NEVER relied on ppbay for a living. LOL Sure glad I was smart enough to use them, instead of them using me all these years. (Unlike you morons, who have been pimped out like the little harlots that you are) Oh well... it just a tool and was an effective tool at one time, that got me where I am today. Thank You eBay... We don't say that enough. Enjoyed playing with your trolls for a while too. ROFLMAO
