I didn't put 2 and 2 together yesterday listening to them in session with Tom Ravenscroft. He asked them if they were having another guest like they had done previously and they said they were, but it was a secret. It's more than just a Steve connection, they are another Rough Trade band and seem quite matey with Pulp. There was a story going round when they headlined Glastonbury that they'd been asking Jarvis for tips. Then they put together a montage of previous headliners and when Common People came on, Win Butler said "I like this one". Didn't Pulp nick Arcade Fire's violin player too at some festival during the reunion. From the Moth Club to Wembley Arena - overnight success!?

Yeah, I know the connection goes back a ways and Butler is clearly a long-term fan but I'm sure the presence of Steve helped this happen. Great promo for Jarvis' next record anyway l!
Yeah Steve comes to my mind the second I saw jarv preforming with arcade fire.
And arcade fire preform with Florence, who jarv works with several times, the very next day. And Steve posted a video of the backstage of this gig.
I really love their friendship. Being best friends and best workmates.
And Smavis. Of course.
