I was listening to this 21 year old song today and it got me wondering: were some of the lyrics a prediction of what has happened since then? I know very little about most of the subjects below nor am I offering my opinion on them...

Whole empires will crumble, civilisations will fall - 2007-9 recession and the fall of big businesses since then

If you stopped being so feeble you could have so much more - today's "Millennial" / "Snowflake" generation offended by anything and rushing off to their "Safe spaces" which ultimately achieves nothing

The rave is over - in honesty, rave was a thing of the past by the time this song was released, but still...

Men are over, women are over - gender identity

Cholesterol is over - "Sugar Tax"

Email is over - whilst it isn't totally obsolete, a lot of people nowadays prefer to use Facebook/WhatsApp/Snapchat etc as a form of communication

I think he says it over the megaphone right near the end, I will have to go and listen.

Another one - "the revolution was televised" could be a reference to people filming everything on their mobile phones and uploading it

When they were recording it didnt Jarvis say something about tuning into some evangelical channel and the words were kind of prophetic so they kept them in there? I made my other half sit there in the car with the TIH playing - got to the end and I said you need to hear Jarvis saying bye bye. From memory I thought it was 14 minutes but it was so much longer...
