Odd reissue as I suspect many who would want it already have it.

Which reminds me that I havent got Beyond The Pale...

... going to order it now.

Blimey, Nostalgia is catching-up.

I would buy it if they added the fine B-Sides (Girls Like It Too, Apparently and I Found Myself Looking For God) and the songs recorded with Albini which weren't released (The Night They Let Me Out Of The Home...any more?).

Thinking about it, with two Record Store Day events this autumn (including today's), this Further Comps and the Hardcore vinyl reissue tweeted by another record store as both being due soon are almost certainly straightforward reissues. If there was anything different about them (ooh, lilac coloured vinyl) they would surely have been shoe-ins for RSD.

I'll be getting this. I missed out on FC on vinyl & now it's just a tad bit too expensive to make it worth while.

Details now on his Facebook page. The debut also being repressed. No bonus content, all just an aesthetic shakedown.

Complete shambles of a reissue this. Im all for reissues, but there has to be something extra - His N Hers was nicely remastered at least. Starting to get sick of pointless reissues. Granted its good for those who didnt get it first time round, but thats as far as it goes.

I guess there is justification given that both are out of print and vinyl is more popular/Jarvis' profile is higher than probably at the time the solo records were released

I bought the white vinyl reissue of Further Complications on Discogs recently and it arrived in the post today, albeit in black. I wouldn't bother returning it for that error by the seller but I also think it may be the original 2009 pressing as there are no 2020 credits in the liner-notes nor is there any promotional sticker on the shrinkwrap with "new 2020 reissue" blurb.

Can anyone who has the reissue confirm whether there is an easy way of identifying it as such? I only have the original album on CD and if there isn't any noticeable difference in the remaster I probably won't bother with the hassle of returning this one and getting the reissued version etc.

Ironically the original 2009 pressing is worth more (it being out of print being the main reason it was reissued last year). Edit: If only there was something called a Catalogue Number to easily verify one way or the other...yes, it's the 2020 edition!

Will be interesting to hear if it sounds any different (I always thought Jarvis' vox were too quiet on the ballads/torch songs (Hold Still, Leftovers and ...Deep) but given the arrangements on his subsequent albums (Room 29 and Beyond The Pale), that looks more like an artistic choice than any shortcomings in Steve Albini's production.
