My old band went through the same thing. After a while, family, work gets in the way... and we decided to give it up long ago, its not an easy decision. Being a 'rock star' is a young person's business (and yeah I keep wanting to watch Anvil) you don't see  many middle aged men and women breaking out... lol I guess my advice is if it is getting tiring, take a break. You'll come back to it like I did. I don't do it for fame or money, none of which anyone would give me hehe... I just love it. It's my outlet.
