2. The President is also pleased to grant proforma promotion to the following officers who are presently on deputation, to the grade of Commissioner of Customs & Central Excise in the pay-scale of Rs.18400-22400/- under FR 22 (II) from their respective Ministry/Department where they are presently posted. However, as per the instructions contained in DOP&Tš O.M. No. 2/13/93-Estt. (Pay-II) dated 26.10.93 and O.M. No. 2/13/97-Estt. (Pay-II) dated 9.4.2001 an officer who is on deputation under Central Staffing Scheme and is approved for proforma promotion to the grade of Senior Administrative Grade (SAG) may be permitted to complete the deputation tenure without affecting his/her entitlement of pay in the parent cadre. The period of service covered by proforma promotion shall on reversion to the parent cadre and assumption of duties of the higher post, count towards initial fixation of pay and increments (without arrears being paid) :-

5. All the officers mentioned above should be relieved immediately under intimation to the Board. No representations whatsoever will be entertained before the officers join at their new places of posting. The Chief Commissioner should send compliance reports regarding relieving and joining of the above officers to the Board by 30.10.2004 and 05.11.2004 positively.
6. All representations received regarding transfer in the grade of Commissioner of Customs & Central Excise stand disposed of.
