i voted for capistrano, probably the best player i have seen in the league.
has skills in abundance, can get past 2 or 3 players in a breeze!!
getting on a bit now but still doing it!!!
should have been voted mvp in battersea, nothing against atienza who is a fine player but capistrano should have got mvp for the season and atienza for the final.
I ask somebody in PSUK about that and he said cos Joey missed a game or so and Atienza did not. Hence, the reason Joey didn't get the MVP title. Besides, it's good to share!!! Atienza did not play well in the final though. Joey Capistrano and Jojo Sy were on fire. If you look in the previous league, is their 4th Championship win together.
Pity, BC were not in this league. Would've been a chance to avenge a defeat of Draven/ML.
agreed, i thought jojo sy was outstanding in the final also.
actually i thought the whole team played well, aswell as draven. it was a close game. thats what finals should be like!
i hope the kampi final will be the same this year.
yep! its a shame that bc did not join kampi this year...with the team they had at battersea, i think they would have had their best oppurtunity to win it for a few years.
My vote is Bing Vidad! MVP should go to the player that has the most VALUE to his team. This award should go to Bing. Every player would want a player like him on their team.
Bing is good on offense but not so effective on defense. Jodel is an all-rounder just like Bravo. He can shoot from the outside too. Both are good very though...
Bing is most valuable player for Sunics. A very good leader...if he stays on the court playing ball. Take note ingat sa foul. Also that tall guy of Shokoys, Your young Shokoys need you on the court not on the bench!!!
i voting on joey capistrano for this years mvp!!!his good overall performance in court which made him hard to defend on and his passion in playing basketball is truly awesome!!!!keep high the filipino agency!!!
Second that... Rowland for MVP. He deserves recognition... West Side Kings have been under dogs throughout this season and Rowland has been a valuable player to help them get to where they are. Of course, the rest of the team have contributed but Rowland stands out
By the way...how much weight does our votes here count to what and who KAMPI chooses anyway? Is someone going to show this to KAMPI so they take all these votes into consideration. Does KAMPI even read whats written in these blogs? Probably not...
I am sure KAMPI reads this. But at the end of the day, they select the winner...INNIT!
I think this is just a discussion forum. A place to discuss and the editor thoughtfully included the polls. I don't agree with some of the votes but hey they only represent a small percentage. But if all players vote then we will have a more accurate winner. The committee are there all the time they see the players they know the players. Some good players did not perform well this season and some new players did and they are bound to get a nomination from KAMPI.
Some regular MVP's will be nominated but not necessarily win anything...just to show that they've been noticed.
KAMPI selections will be interesting if they want to win the match against a strong Aussie Team. We are taking this friendly seriously, hence we are going for the experienced and talented players in the league whether they play in the overall finals or not.
if thats the case then ill like to put sunny's name in the mvp poll and i also like to put richie in the best center poll. standard!!!
they better be looking at these then dere's no point in this website or forum in tthe first place, it will jus for nothing!!!!
Comments like this kind of disrespects the reason behind the idea of the polls. Other players do not really know each other and this is another way of doing that. KAMPI do not have a volunteer to do their website. Some guy from Shohoku posted a new kampi website for his college work but beware it is suppose to be virus infected..
We've known for a while that Jojo missed some games this season cos his son plays sunday footie...a good one so he says...let's hope that he carries on updating his website...
your quoting me as being dirapectful when you realy redirect the point im tryna make!
what i and others are tryna say is that, is dere a point in the first place of doing a poll if its never gona be noticed, if not then your just wasting peoples time looking at this forum thats why i made that comment , yes its a place to chat about anything in general but to add a poll and make people vote doesnt make sense in any kinda way, it has nothing to do with jojo c or him going to watch his son play football, if anything his has done a good job with the site with the spare time he has.
no one knows the real reason why kampi are tryna finish the league early this year , when we pay more money this year than last year, maybe the rent went up, i really dont know. and no one will ever know the real reason, the reason for this is no communication between us and them! thats why you see alot of teams pull out and not turn up. please dnt make urself believe that everyone in the league is treated fairly becuase its not true, otherwise they wouldnt be rumors about the league going around between us.
"But if all players vote then we will have a more accurate winner"
and then the next post you write
" Other players do not really know each other and this is another way of doing that"
so how are we suppose to have a more accurate winner when you say that other players dont know each other?, that would neva work out to who truly wins mvp, becuase everyone would just vote for a player they know! so it wouldnt really be more accurate now even more than beofore or will be!
I'd like to BIG UP all of the WESTSIDE KINGS for this season and the finals so far, at the start of the season we knew we could make this far and with heart and determination were playing a team we beat 2 weeks ago to go through to the CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS.
The whole team has really pulled together and special shout outs to SONNY for some excellent management this season (I remember the days u started every game=) BIG UP GEORGE for keeping the team tight, a valuable player and what a game u had against Epsom!
But I know we ALL agree that ROWLAND is the Most Valuable Player for the KINGS and we may not have made it this far without him. We joke that he's not human because he plays a whole game always scoring double figures, grabbing boards and blocking shots and is never out of breath.
How can we make it to the last 4 teams and our MVP not be up there? Sort it out!!! 8

Trust me...they do read these.

Who do you think should be the overall MVP this season? Please choose from the list or post name to be added.

Joey Capistrano MVP! Very good on offense but no defense! Maybe cos he got hold of the ball most times. But look at Vidad, shares out responsibility, Sunics div champions again!
watching basketball for years, I never have seen an MVP coming fronm a losing team. MVP should or must come from both teams going trough the championship. Like what KAMPI said, leading the team up to yhe end of the leahue, and which means at least up to division champs. I have nothing against the MVP awardee, but it does not look right. If you watch any basketball awardings, MVP comes from either the champion team or the runner up. Vidad could be a good finalist but lost his control. Shame.
I would have gone for Lloyd Sambo myself as he worked tirelessly to help us secure the last qualifying spot for the finals. Luck were against us when we lost to Fil-Agency in the last 7 seconds of the game...again the experience factor was to blame then!
No offence to Fil-Agency players but they were really knackered when they played Kings for their second game of the day.
Maybe Shohoku might have given Kinky Kings a good fight...but well done Sonny Boy!!!
AND it is not a coincidence that Kings are doing well because they have George Pineda BACK and on FIRE.
